Treasure State Horse Show July 5-6, 2008 Missoula, Montana
Results for English, Driving Classes The 7th Annual Treasure State Horse Show was held at the Missoula Equestrian Park in Missoula, MT on July 5-6, 2008. The weather was beautiful…sunny but a nice breeze and not too hot. The show hosted the English events on Saturday and the Western events on Sunday. Many horses and exhibitors came and showed from throughout the state. Our show judge was Glenn Youmans from Spokane, Washington. There were some changes this year from years past in award presentations. In addition to the many hi point awards we already offer at the show, we added a new hi point Arabian/Half-Arabian award and a Walk/Trot award. These two awards proved to be a huge success. We had good competition for both of them. The hi point awards this year were large bridle bags embroidered with the Treasure State logo and beautiful tri colored champion/reserve champion ribbons and championship trophies. A special thank you to my work crew. Especially to my husband, Ken Rolf, for announcing the show and to Cheryl Bryant, my show secretary. Cheryl and Ken have been so devoted to helping this show run successfully every year. I appreciate them both very much. Thank you also to all the exhibitors that came to support the show. Treasure State would not be a success without you! Barb Rolf, Show Manager |

Deen Walsh and Turn Back Time taking a turn around the arena.
Barb Rolf and Triton Danielle looking sharp.
This could have been a good picture if I hadn't cut Triton Danielle's head off. I won't quit my day job.
This is what a good picture should look like.
This is better but who is stirring up all that dust?
Racy jacket. The sparkles on it were very eye catching.
Pat Gervais and Try N Stop Me ride in an English class.
I don't want my picture taken. I want to go back to the stall and eat hay.
Not looking at the camera, don't care, leave me alone.
Shake that ribbon all day long lady, I'm not in the mood.
Okey, maybe I will look kind of good. I can look better but this is all you get. Now where is my horse cookie?
Brooklinn Hunt and GV Top Celebrity warm up for classes.
Kristie Baker and Charlotte's Waltz also join the casual class.
Brooklinn Hunt and GV Top Celebrity in one of the walk/trot classes. The sunglasses are a nice touch.
KBR Commotion and Barb Rolf. I think he is smiling for the camera.
I'm sure he is smiling for the camera. Maybe even laughing out loud.
Boy does he look good. Barb does too but Commotion is a star.
Speaking of stars, Triton Danielle and Barb Rolf. Danny knows she is a very pretty horse.
Look at those perky ears. Danny is just a natural ham for the camera.
Danny can go fast too.
Linda Bossell and Zippin Classy Pine doing a very nice trot.
Good thing Kristie Baker and Charlotte's Watlz turned. The photographer might have been a grease spot in the arena.
Kristie Baker and Charlotte's Waltz looking very elegant.
Erin Ward and Rockin By Sunday. Isn't he cute?
I mean really really cute.
Yahoo! RSA Eternal Treasure and Tawnya Dykstra. I'm hoping they are beginning the canter. Otherwise, this is just a rodeo.
Okey, this looks much calmer.
And this just looks great! No wonder they were HP Saddle Seat Team. |
Brooklin Hunt and GV Top Celebrity go in a walk/trot class. Don't they look cute together?
Deen Walsh and Montana Showtime. Almost looks like she is moving with her hind legs crossed. That's a talented horse.
Triton Danielle and Barb Rolf show off for the Judge. Too bad he was looking at some other showoff.
Ohh, doesn't she look pretty! Barb isn't bad either.
Deen Walsh and Montana Showtime in the 5 gaited class. They were doing gaits in a spectacular way.
What a classy looking pair!
They look good going either way.
Now that is some knee action!
The crowd went wild when they did the rack. It was something to see.
A stride like this will get you around the arena in no time flat. Maybe that's why the judge had her go around several times.
This is just a gorgeous horse.
Pam Lytton and Kahlua enjoying the day.
Sammy Ryan and Wyo Hills. This would have been a better picture if I had gotten them coming instead of going.
No idea who this is but they look great.
Jenny Winfield and Inkjet, who looks like he is blowing his nose.
KBR Commotion got a blue ribbon. Oh, and Barb Rolf was there too.
Linda Bossell and Zippin Classy Pine. They look like they have finished the class.
Kristie Baker and Charlotte's Waltz, looking very good.
Pam Lytton and Kahlua also looking good.
Bruce Backman and RSA Headlite. He looks so normal in this picture, Bruce, not the horse. The horse always looks normal. Bruce, not so much.
Erin Ward and Caseys Blue Girl. Erin has her jacket match the color of her horse.
With a swish of my tail, we are off. Pam Lytton and Kahlua.
Wish I knew who this is. They look so elegant.
Just a nice pat for a job well done. I hope it was a job well done.
Hannah Kiehn and Asadya very carefully showing the pretty blue lining of her coat. I think that is worth extra points.
A smiling exhibitor. Had to be for something good. Or maybe because she is riding a good horse.
Another pair of happy English riders. Or maybe they are Canadian or French.
A rider on a happy Arabian. His ears say "I'm happy!"
An English rider zips around the arena, looking very stylish.
Hahhan Kiehn and Asadya leave after their class.
This is what they looked like in the class.
Inkjet and Jenny Winfield riding their class.
They look very relaxed, not falling asleep relaxed, but just cruising along.
Here they look very good.
Stacy Kiehn and Fabio Fame in matching outifts, her coat and his browband.
See, they are just elegant together.
They are still in matching outfits. Stacy's coat lining is blue and his browband is blue.
Brooklinn Hunt and GV Top Celebrity. What a great way to end a page. |
