Treasure State Horse Show July 5-6, 2008 Missoula, Montana
Results for 10 & Under, Leadline Classes The 7th Annual Treasure State Horse Show was held at the Missoula Equestrian Park in Missoula, MT on July 5-6, 2008. The weather was beautiful…sunny but a nice breeze and not too hot. The show hosted the English events on Saturday and the Western events on Sunday. Many horses and exhibitors came and showed from throughout the state. Our show judge was Glenn Youmans from Spokane, Washington. There were some changes this year from years past in award presentations. In addition to the many hi point awards we already offer at the show, we added a new hi point Arabian/Half-Arabian award and a Walk/Trot award. These two awards proved to be a huge success. We had good competition for both of them. The hi point awards this year were large bridle bags embroidered with the Treasure State logo and beautiful tri colored champion/reserve champion ribbons and championship trophies. A special thank you to my work crew. Especially to my husband, Ken Rolf, for announcing the show and to Cheryl Bryant, my show secretary. Cheryl and Ken have been so devoted to helping this show run successfully every year. I appreciate them both very much. Thank you also to all the exhibitors that came to support the show. Treasure State would not be a success without you! Barb Rolf, Show Manager |

Class 6 Showmanship 10 & Under ( 3)
Don't these guys look nice. Tristen Dykstra and Double Dott.
Brooklinn Hunt and GV Top Celebrity followed by Tristen Dykstra and Double Dott. Gotta love those Arabians and their kids.
Pogo is moving out now. How fast can those short legs go anyway?
I wonder how she gets on this horse? Probably the same way I might, with help.
Cameron Buuck and Pogo in showmanship.
Grace Noyd and Allalula Morn. This was a huge 10 & under showmanship class.
I hope Dott knows where he is going, Dawson is looking one way, Robert another, who knows where they will end up.
Now we are back on track.
I'm taking this very seriously. I want to win first place and get a ribbon.
I'm pretty happy with this ribbon. I hope I win something at the Governors' Cup Horse Show. I'm a horse showing ribbon pig now!!! |
Pogo and Cameron Buuck ride in their class. Look how nicely he rides that pony.
Nice 10 & Under riders, Tristen Dykstra and Double Dott and on the right Brooklinn Hunt and GV Top Celebrity
Cameron Buuck and Pogo. Markie Kimerly and Snappy. I think Snappy has found her fearless leader.
Markie Kimerly and Snappy. Don't they look great! Such a nice horse and a nice kid too.
They look good from this side too.
This is where we all leave and get ribbons.
Brooklinn Hunt and GV Top Celebrity showing Judge Glenn Youmans their showmanship. Good Job to all the 10 & Under kids!
Here is how is all starts. The leadline class. Dawson Dykstra and Double Dott. Robert Taylor is also involved in a very minor way. Dawson is doing most of this.
We ended up in the middle where everybody had a big conference and that nice Judge Glenn Youmans told me some stuff about how to back up.
I'm a little bashful about my ribbon but I'll bet I can be persuaded to show off a little.
It worked! Look at the size of this ribbon! |
